Proofing is an integral part of the printing process. It offers clients the opportunity of visual inspection and last minute changes before costly press runs. Printers have the chance to spot potential press problems beforehand and pressmen can have a target to match at print time. At Magna-Tech Graphics Inc. we have a number of proofing systems to utilize to ensure your order is correct before proceeding to film or plates. The following are a list of the various methods for proofing along with suggestions on when to use them.

Black & White Laser
A cost effective way to inspect a one color order or proofread text-heavy projects.

PDF file
An electronic file allowing visual inspection. An economical and fast way to proof initial concepts.

Color Plotter Laser
An effective visual aide for proofing and presentation. Our plotter can produce proofs at 100% size as large as 36" x 144".

Color Imation Digital Laser
A color laser proof offering true color through calibrated Matchprint software.

Bluelines
This blueprint imaging system is essential for final proofs as it uses the actual plate film.

Color Keys
Color separations are made from film and used for inspection of traps and individual plate runs.

Matchprint TM
Available in both process and PMS spot colors. Matchprints can be produced using any substrate from paper to plastic which accurately depicts the finished product. This is the most exact proofing method available for simulating the print process and can be used at press time for targeting.
